A March release date for the upcoming God of War has surfaced once again, furthering our curiosity as to why the developer has yet to give us a firm date.
According to a Portuguese retailer, God of War will release on March 22nd, 2018. The ResetEra user that posted about the retailer claims the retailer only assigns exact release dates if they are a sure thing, so if this is true, March 22nd could be the date we’ve been waiting for.
An image of the retail listing can be found below.
If March 22nd sounds familiar to anyone else, that is the same release date that leaked for the game on the PlayStation Store last month. Prior to that, two other retailers leaked the date of March 23rd for the game’s release. There is the possibility that this more recent retailer is just pulling from these older leaks, but as a Sony producer recently teased that we would learn the date soon, this could also be a preemptive release of that announcement.
Officially, God of War does not have a release date and is only slated to launch sometime in early 2018, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
