Nintendo has announced that Pokémon Bank subscribers will be gifted evolved forms of the three Johto starter Pokemon later this month.

“As a reward to current Pokémon Bank users, a special distribution event is on the way,” Nintendo writes. “Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr, the final Evolutions of the starter Pokémon from Pokémon Heart Gold Version and Pokémon Soul Silver Version, are all being distributed. All three Pokémon come with Hidden Abilities.”

Meganium’s Leaf Guard Hidden Ability protects it from status conditions when sunlight is harsh or extremely harsh, while Typhlosion has the Flash Fire Hidden Ability, which powers up Fire-type moves by 50% and prevents this Pokémon from taking damage from Fire-type moves. Finally, Feraligatr’s Sheer Force Hidden Ability eliminates the additional effects of this Pokémon’s attacks, but they will do an additional 30% damage instead.

To access these three Pokémon, players need to use the Pokémon Link option in their copy of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire after they have accessed Pokémon Bank using one of these games.

Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr will be available from February 27, 2015.
