THE BUZZ: The extent of L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi’s debts have been revealed by the Australian Securities And Investments Commission.
(All figures are in Australian Dollars)
The studio owed creditors $1,425,156.78, with 33 staff members being owed $1,074,283.28 in unpaid wages and bonuses. Studio Head Brendan McNamara is owed $102,495.16, General Manager Vicky Lord is owed $99,155.21 and Gameplay Lead David Heironymous $43,652.
A liquidator has been appointed to the company who will handle the sale of the companies remaining assets and paying of debts.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s sad to see a company who made such a great game suffer the way it has, hopefully the same fate will not befall other developers who are willing to try something bold.
