THE BUZZ: Codemasters has released a brand new developer diary which details F1 2011′s new co-op championship mode, a brand new way to play lets you and a friend become teammates for an online season. Although labeled co-op, it remains competitive, as you fight for the title of top driver (of both the team and the championship).
The number one driver on the team receives car upgrades that give you an upper-hand over the competition. And, since you’ll be racing head-to-head with your friend for the entire season (and not just a single race), you’re going to need all the super-charged help you can get!
EGM’s TAKE: As a massive Formula 1 fan, I’ve been hoping something like this would be added to the game. Personally, I can’t wait to form a racing team with a friend and duke it out for the title!
