THE BUZZ:Codemasters new developer diary for F1 2011 takes a look at the Safety Car and new rules added for this season.
The rule changes are in-line with those made in the sport this year, with the addition of DRS (a system that opens the rear wing giving more pace for overtaking), KERS, (a chargeable battery that when activated increases the car’s acceleration and speed) and Pirelli tires. These are said to make the game feel “completely different” to last year’s iteration and the addition of the Safety Car will add an unpredictable variable to races.
EGM’s TAKE: All these changes should make F1 2011 the most realistic simulation of the sport to date, and we can’t wait to take to the track.
