THE BUZZ: Microsoft has revealed Xbox Live Arcade Fable Heroes via Xbox.com.

The game is a four player hack-and-slash affair where the heroes are cute little rag dolls. Players must work together to defeat waves of familiar Fable baddies, earning coins for each kill. These coins can then be used to purchase upgrades, new characters and items in Fable Heroes and the upcoming Kinect title Fable: The Journey.

EGM’s TAKE: The game appears to be the usual Xbox Live Arcade tie-in that comes out with every new Fable release, allowing you to earn in-game coins before the main title’s release, in this case Fable: The Journey. The board game style screen looks to be a map of some sort, similar to the one used in Mario Party games. It should be a fun little distraction for fans looking for more Fable action.
