Fallen London dev Failbetter Games working on something with BioWare

Posted on February 25, 2014 AT 01:40pm

Fallen London developer Failbetter Games has been collaborating with BioWare on a super secret project for the last year, co-founder Alexis Kennedy revealed today.

“For the last year, on and off, we’ve been working in absolute secrecy on a project for a much larger company,” Kennedy wrote in a post on the company’s official website. “When we’ve gone quiet for no obvious reason, it’s because we’ve been heads-down on this. When I’ve mentioned that we don’t take client work any more, with rare exceptions, this is the rare exception.”

Released in 2009, Fallen London is a browser-based work of interactive fiction. Obviously, Failbetter’s strengths are storytelling, making an arrangement with BioWare a perfect fit. Question is, what’s the mystery project? Are they involved in Dragon Age: Inquisition? Unlikely. Mass Effect Not 4 is a possibility, but something else altogether strikes me as the best bet.
