Fallout 76 bugs are hardly news anymore with how common they are, but this robot invasion is particularly crazy.
As discovered by PC Gamer, the robots patrolling the game’s Whitesprings hotel and golf course have a chance to multiply insanely. When PC Gamer loaded in, robots were packed into the resort, with seven behind the entrance’s one-robot desk, and more than could even be counted in other areas of the location. This included outside the hotel, where PC Gamer tried feeding a small pack of ghouls to the army of guard robots. When the action picked up, the game’s poor optimization began to slow everything down, finally forcing PC Gamer to abandon the robot convention.
During this strange bug, PC Gamer went to check if the resort’s robot vendors had also duplicated, which would increase the amount of items they could be sold, but no such luck. The convention was apparently limited to the help, which can be seen in images and videos on PC Gamer’s official post.
While not quite as crazy, EGM ran into our own variety of Fallout 76 glitches, as we show off in our wasteland glitch tour album. Less comical are Bethesda’s recent missteps outside the game, including refusing refunds for players and switching out one of the items in the game’s Power Armor Edition for a cheaper version.
