This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine revealed the existence of Drag-On Dragoon 3, the third installment of the action-RPG series known as Drakengard in the U.S.

So far, the only details we have is that it’s a PS3 exclusive, that the protagonists are two sisters named Zero and One, and that there’s a mysterious “Singer” whose songs are powered by the blood of his/her enemies. .

The title is being developed by Access Games, makers of Deadly Premonition, along with veteran Cavia staff members (the developers behind the previous Drakengard games and Nier). Confirmed among them are producer Takamasa Shiba, director/writer Taro Yokoo, character designer Kimihiko Fujisaka, and music composer Keiichi Okabe. Reports indicate Drakengard 3 is slated for release in Japan sometime this year.
