We’re mere hours away from the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, but we still had one burning question: Will there be emotes and sprays? You know we can’t get enough of those emotes and sparys.
Thankfully, the answer is yes. Black Ops 4 will have emotes and sprays.
A video posted to Reddit showed off a player bringing up a “gesture” wheel that includes emotes and sprays. Like games with similar mechanics, the emotes bring the camera out of first-person to third-person, and sprays are painted in first-person.
The third-person emote camera has some worried that players will use it to peek around corners. It seems like you can cancel emotes, which makes it easy for players to pull off quick peeks, and there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of noise to let players know that their enemies are emoting.
Black Ops 4‘s standard multiplayer will launch with 14 maps, according to a leak. That doesn’t include Blackout’s massive battle royale map and the four Zombies maps. Players won’t be able to complete Zombies Easter eggs until 10 a.m. PT on October 12th, and you won’t be able to play the game at all without downloading a 50GB day-one update.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on October 12th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
