Fans Petition to Bring Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD to PC

THE BUZZ: Many PC gamers are feeling a little irked at the announcement that Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD will not be making its way to PC, and have started an online petition to persuade developer Robomodo to reconsider.
The petition doesn’t have much backing as of now, with 46 out of the 301 required signatures secured. The “Why this is Important” section reads:
“We, as PC gamers, feel that a significant amount of the audience is being alienated from being able to enjoy the upcoming release ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD’. In the past, the Tony Hawk video game series saw success in releasing titles on the PC platform, and we feel that the same could be said for THPSHD. We simply ask that developer Robomodo, publisher Activision, Tony Hawk and any other affiliated parties consider the possibility of releasing a PC version of the game through Steam or any other viable digital platform.”
The game is currently scheduled to release as a downloadable title for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
EGM’s TAKE: The early Tony Hawks games on PC had a massive modding community, leaving many to wonder why they have been forgotten with this HD remake. The sad truth is that smaller PC titles are a lot less profitable and viable for developers then they were 10 years ago.
