According to actor Michael Biehn, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon’s creative director already has a follow up to the title in mind.
Talking to Microsoft’s Major Nelson, 80s actor extraordinaire Michael Biehn—the voice of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon protagonist Rex “Power” Colt—mentioned how the game’s creative director Dean Evans already has plans for a sequel.
“Dean called me last night, he was pretty jacked up,” Biehn told Major Nelson. “He was going into a meeting today to, you know, I think he wants to turn it into some sort of franchise. He’s got a sequel in mind.”
“He has so many ideas coming out of his head that he can hardly contain them,” Biehn added. “He can be talking about the videogame, the sequel, the sequel to that, and immediately move into movies—and start talking about movies he wants to do and different timelines on the movie he wants to do.”
When asked whether Mr. Biehn more or less outed the sequel, Evans tweeted, “I’ve also spoken to people about my lust to remake Technocop… Doesn’t mean it’s gonna happen.”
So not a confirmed, sure thing, but certainly on the table, I’d say.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is available on XBLA, PSN, and PC. Our own Josh Harmon reviewed the title after surviving a wrestling match with a laser leopard.
