Ubisoft has announced that a closed beta for Far Cry 3′s multiplayer will begin this Summer on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
It will run for two weeks, offering 16-player matches, six classes and multiple maps and modes. An official start date has yet to be announced. U.S. gamers who purchase Ghost Recon: Future Soldier from GameStop are guaranteed access. You can also register on Far Cry 3′s official Facebook page for a chance of winning one of 500 keys.
Ubisoft has promised that more methods of gaining keys will be revealed before the beta begins. Everybody loves a beta test as it gives fans a chance to try a game before launch. Most major multiplayer games have a beta test at some point to ensure that there’s no issues at launch, since one major bug could end any hopes of success.
