Far Cry

In honor of being stranded in unfamiliar and hostile locations, one Far Cry 5 player has used the game’s map editing feature to recreate the island from the show Lost.

The map creation was put together by YouTuber Un-Break-Able, under the PlayStation user name PSFREAK33. Since the map was designed on the PlayStation 4 version of the game, only other PlayStation users will be able to find it in the game’s Arcade mode. They can do so by searching for it by title, under “LOST TV Series”.

The map, as Un-Break-Able admits, is not to scale, but it is likely hard to find a reference for the exact geographical layout of the island. While the recreation may not be point for point, it features tons of accurate locational references to the show, like Sun’s garden, all nine Dharma Initiative stations, and more. Some concessions had to be made due to the editor’s limit on size and available assets, but Un-Break-Able intends to improve the creation if any new assets are added through future expansions.

A walkthrough of the project can be seen in the video below.

Recreating environments from other entertainment properties seems to be a popular pastime for users of Far Cry 5‘s map editor. The game’s user created map selection is already home to a variety of environments from other games, including Counter-Strike, Resident Evil 7, and more.
