Farming Simulator 2013 Coming To Consoles, Boasts New Online Mode
Posted on July 28, 2012 AT 02:30pm
Believe it or not, Farming Simulator 2011 was one of the most popular, best-selling PC titles a few years ago—and it even has its own dedicated page on the Steam Store. Although I have no idea how well the 2012 edition performed in sales, Farming Simulator 2013 is already heading to consoles and getting ready to mow down the competition.
Along with the official announcement, publisher Giants Software is also showing off the series’ spiffy new website, which touts the game’s new farm animals, more weather patterns, and—farming stuff.
Farming Simulator 2013 looks like it’ll be the series’ first multiplatform launch, and the new console version will actually pack-in an online mode that lets players swap mods, vehicles, and tools with other players.
There’s also an iOS version heading to iPhones and iPads, and according to the publisher, it’s currently pending approval from Apple to get a spot in the App Store. And if you’re still playing Farming Simulator 2011 on PC, you can mosey on over to the official website and pick up some free, brand-new DLC for “classic bale equipment.”
Oh, wow. There’s a Farming Simulator 2012 title for the Nintendo 3DS. Well. How about that.
OK, I don’t know about you guys, but this is probably a sleeper hit for “Best of Show” at E3 2013. Definitely.
