The Unified Update is now available for the early access version of Fear the Wolves on PC.

The update introduces the new Unified game mode, which makes Duos the default mode and puts all players in the same matchmaking pool. Players can still play the game solo, but they will be against teams of two. Matches will be played on 9km sections randomly picked from the full map and have a maximum player count of 40.

Also introduced in this update is a new waiting room that lets players freely roam the map, loot weapons, and kill wolves or other players. As soon as there are two players in the lobby, a five-minute countdown will start. After the five minutes, a vote to start will be initiated if enough players are not in the lobby.

Finally, the update adds vaulting and squad voice chat to the game. Read the full patch notes here.

Fear the Wolves is available now on PC in early access, and will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
