Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III director Tetsuya Nomura has offered a development update on both titles in the latest issue of Famitsu, and it’s not the best news.

According to Nomura (via Gematsu), “there are still worlds untouched” in Kingdom Hearts III and “production is progressing on unannounced worlds, in a state that we cannot show them off.” He added that “there is still some way to go” before the game is ready.

In regards to Final Fantasy VII Remake he explained that the team is “steadily progressing on production,” but “the wait will be be a bit longer” for both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III.

“I am very sorry, but to that degree I will make a game that will meet your expectations,” he added.

Nomura went on to promise that progress made on both titles since they were last seen will be shown “at an event somewhere.” However, both games “still have a way to go.”
