Monster Hunter: World and Final Fantasy XIV‘s crossover event will kick off on August 1st, 2018, Capcom has announced.

From this date, Monster Hunter: World players will be able to take on Final Fantasy XIV‘s deadly behemoth, while Final Fantasy XIV players will get a fight of their own against Rathalos. It’s unknown at the moment if the Final Fantasy XIV side of the event will start on the same day. As well as these new fights, players from both games will be able to earn some new cosmetic items. Take a look at the Behemoth in the new trailer below:

Square Enix recently released a new update for Final Fantasy XIV that introduced a new 100-floor Deep Dungeon to the game called Heaven-on-High.

Monster Hunter: World is available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC release to follow on August 9th.
