Final Fantasy XIV assistant director Hiroshi Takaihas revealed that he would love to revisit The Last Remnant if given the chance.

In a recent Final Fantasy XIV livestream a fan asked: “The PlayStation 3 version of “The Last Remnant” was never released. Are there any plans to release the title on PlayStation®4 or PC? Also, are there any plans to create a sequel?”

“If I receive enough requests… (hint hint),” Takaihas replied. “It’s one of my favorite titles so I would like to if I’m given the opportunity.”

The Last Remnant released for Xbox 360 and PC back in 2008/09, and was Square Enix’s first in-house Unreal Engine 3 title.
