EA has announced the FIFA 13 Ultimate Edition and two pre-order bonuses for the game.

The Ultimate Edition is similar to last year’s and contains 24 Ultimate Team gold packs, one per week for 24 weeks. Each pack contains a mix of 12 items, including players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, kits and badges. Gold packs contain players with a 75+ rating and at least one rare card.

EA is describing FIFA 13 as having the “most extensive global pre-order incentive in the history of the FIFA franchise.” The Ultimate Edition will be available day one and can either be pre-ordered or bought on the day.

Two retail exclusive pre-order incentives are also available, regardless of which version you buy on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or PC. The Football Club pre-order bonus will net you 10,000 EA Sports Football Club credits to spend on in-game items such as celebrations, kits, Virtual Pro boosts, and extra Head-to-Head Seasons matches.

The second incentive is the Adidas All-Star Team which is made up of 23 of the world’s best players, including Lionel Messi, Nani, and Karim Benzema. The team wears a special Adidas kit that can be used in Online Pro Clubs.

I would definitely go for the Adidas team simply because you can earn credits in-game, but this is the only way that you can access this special team and kit. As for the Ultimate Edition, if you’re a fan of Ultimate Team then you should throw down the extra cash because it’s more than worth it for the 24 gold packs.

Which version will you get and which pre-order bonus would you like?
