EA confirmed earlier today that FIFA 20 will introduce a new way to play called Volta Football.
Volta Football is similar to FIFA Street and lets players take part in 3v3, 4v4, 4v4 Rush, 5v5, and Professional Futsal across various arenas of different sizes from around the world. Players can also customize their own male or female avatar with a range of clothing, hairstyles, and tattoo options, before taking them into the game.
In addition to the above, Volta features a number of game modes for players to tackle, including the Volta Story Mode, Volta Kick-Off, the online Volta League, and Volta World, in which players will build their own squad. Watch the reveal trailer below:
Elsewhere in this year’s entry, EA Sports is adjusting a number of gameplay elements. For starters, timed finishing will be harder to execute and more prone to error in pressured situations. As well as this, manual movement of the goalkeeper will be slower and goalkeeper movement will be locked once the shooter locks in a shot. Finally, a new system has been introduced for aiming free kicks and penalties.
FIFA 20 launches September 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
