EA has confirmed that the FIFA game coming to Nintendo Switch will be a custom built version of FIFA 18.

“It will be FIFA 18, and it will obviously be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out,” EA chief competition officer Peter Moore told Gamereactor.

When pressed for more details about the game, he added, “What you have will be a custom built version for the Nintendo Switch from the FIFA development team in Vancouver.”

Last week, EA revealed that this year’s FIFA entry will feature the second season of The Journey, FIFA’s new story mode.

A release date for FIFA 18 has not been announced.
