Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming Kinect-based fighting game Fighter Within.
“Gameplay trailer” is tenuously accurate, at best, though. Because Fighter Within is played through the Xbox One’s new Kinect, the gameplay is really more about player movement in order to execute the character actions seen in the video. And because there isn’t a window-in-window showing two people actually playing Fighter Within, its complexity (or simplicity) fail to be conveyed.
Josh and Ray played a demo of Fighter Within earlier this year, and by their account the input motions seemed to be simple and fairly straightforward. They also noticed issues with the Kinect picking up their movements. Of course, that could have been an early build of the game, and the final product could prove more engaging. Ubisoft’s Fighter Within will be among the Xbox One’s launch lineup when the system comes to North America and Europe November 22.
