It appears that Square Enix’s recently announced Nintendo 3DS game Final Fantasy Explorers is going to be making its way west, according to new trademarks filed by the publisher.
The game was announced last week in Japanese magazine Jump, but it was unknown if it would also be getting a release in the west. However, Square Enix recently filed trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Europe’s Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, suggest that a release is likely.
The game is a multiplayer co-op action RPG that sees players searching for crystals while defeating the different generations of summons. Players will be able to select from multiple Final Fantasy Jobs, with each taking up a distinct role in the party. A party can consist of a maximum of four players, and each Job will have to be used effectively to defeat enemies. Four Jobs were confirmed in Jump’s reveal: Black Mage, White Mage, Knight, and Monk.
