The video description for a new Nintendo Switch advert has revealed that Final Fantasy VII will be coming to the console “soon.” Watch the advert, which features some footage of the game running in handheld mode, below:

Last year, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age would be coming to Nintendo Switch.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be available on Switch from April 16th, 2019, with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age following on April 30th. However, both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX were left with vague 2019 release windows. All of these games are also coming to Xbox One.

Nintendo Switch owners won't have to wait too much longer for Final Fantasy VII.
