Progress on the Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming along nicely. As producer Yoshinori Kitase recently revealed, voice recording for the game’s main story is nearly finished.
“Final Fantasy VII Remake requires hefty readiness,” Kitase said in an interview in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation (via Siliconera). “The voice actors are practically finished in recording voices for the main story.”
Some of the voices are a bit different than what fans might expect, Kitase went on the explain.
“Fans might be picturing Cloud from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for it, but [this is] a Cloud in his “prime” from before Advent Children, so you might sense a fresh new performance from it.”
The Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development and doesn’t have a release date yet. It’ll be out in chapters on the PlayStation 4.
