THE BUZZ: Square-Enix announced a HD remake of Final Fantasy X will be coming to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

The news came during Sony’s pre-TGS press conference. They said that the remake is coming along nicely, but asks fans to be patient, so don’t expect to see it before 2012. No extra information was offered about the game, although fans of the original will know exactly what to expect.

The announcement comes ten years after the original game launched for PlayStation 2 in Japan back in 2001. It was released internationally in 2002.

EGM’s TAKE: This is fantastic news for all Final Fantasy fans, however Square Enix, we have one question – where’s our Final Fantasy VII HD remake?

What are your thoughts on a Final Fantasy X HD remake?
