THE BUZZ: Square-Enix and Prada have teamed up to promote the designer’s new men’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, producing artwork featuring the Final Fantasy XIII-2 cast wearing the outfits.

The images feature Lightning, Noel, Sazh and Hope all sporting the Prada gear. They were created by Square Enix’s Visual Works studio in Japan, working alongside Final Fantasy character designers.

EGM’s TAKE: Well as if the Final Fantasy series couldn’t get anymore obscure. What a crazy combination, Final Fantasy and Prada, someone must have looked at the marketing staff a little funny when they suggested this. At least we can rest assured that these outfits won;t be making it into the game as DLC, there’s already been enough fuss about the N7 Mass Effect armor without adding fashion giants into the mix. Does anyone else wonder why they chose Lightning to model for a men’s collection? We wonder if they will make Snow model their women’s collection?
