THE BUZZ: Square-Enix has released a brand new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2.

EGM’s TAKE: The Clash of Time trailer takes a look at some of the game’s larger scale battles, many of which involve the bane of most gamer’s lives, quick time events. They can be good when used well but can be annoying when they catch you off guard, especially if you’re trying to enjoy the action on screen. The battles are just a small part of Final Fantasy this time, as the bulk of play will be spent on the many side-quests and mini-games such as the casino, Chocobo racing and the many puzzles littered around the world and dungeons. Square is going for the big bold Final Fantasy title that we all expected when the original Final Fantasy XIII was released. Hopefully XIII-2 won’t leave us with the same disappointment.
