THE BUZZ: The domain finalfantasyxiii-3.com has been registered.

Just months before the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2 this mysterious domain has appeared. It was registered on September 7, 2011 by Corporation Service Company (CRC), which Square-Enix has been known to use in the past.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is expected to release January 2012.

EGM’s TAKE: Probably too early to tell whether this is a hint of things to come or just Square covering their backs in case they decide to launch a third title.
