Square Enix has detailed plans for a three day event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy, during which the publisher will give a presentation on the future of the Final Fantasy XIII project.
It’s not entirely clear what the future of the project will be. We know that there will be no more DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 as the Lightning DLC was the final piece. So could we be in for a Final Fantasy XIII-3 announcement, or maybe a spin-off? The presentation is due to take place September 1, so all will be revealed then.
Earlier today an inside source from Square Enix claimed that the Final Fantasy Versus XIII project had been cancelled.
