The beta for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is scheduled to begin later this month.

The first phase of testing will feature areas around Gridania with limited quests from the main story line and several side-quests available. An instanced dungeon designed for level 30 players will also be available for testing.

It will also include Full Active Time Events which appear at random while playing, to take part in the event all you have to do is go close to it. The beta will begin on February 25.
