After a complete redesign the time has finally come for fans to get a taste of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn as the game enters closed beta this week.

Phase 1 of the game’s closed beta test is now live and will run until tomorrow. Players taking part in the beta will be able to test out FATE (Full Active Time Events), randomly occurring events that any players can take part in without needing to join a party.
