Square Enix is offering previous subscribers a chance to return to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for free this weekend.

The free weekend was supposed to happen last Friday to coincide with the launch of patch 2.3, but Square Enix opted to push it back to this Friday. So starting tomorrow, July 18, until Monday any player who previously had an active subscription can return to the game for free.

Patch 2.3 released for the game last week, adding a new Primal, a 72-player PvP mode called Frontlines, new quests, dungeons, and more.
