Square Enix has shared details about Final Fantasy XIV‘s next major update and unveiled a companion app for the game.
According to the development team, update 4.3, titled Under the Moonlight, will see the introduction of new main scenario quests, a new 24-player raid in the Ivalice series, a new dungeon, new Beast Tribe quests with The Namazu, and brand-new side quests.
As well as the above, players will be getting a brand-new 100-floor Deep Dungeon, an expansion to The Forbidden Land, Eureka, an ultimate difficulty raid against Ultima Weapon, and updates to jobs, PvP, the glamour system, housing, and more.
Square Enix also unveiled an official companion app for Final Fantasy XIV that will let players chat with friends and free company members, organize events, manage their inventory and armory, view the Market Board, buy and sell items, and register an additional favored destination Atheryte. A Premium Plan for the app will be available for players looking to splash a little extra cash that lets players organize saddlebags and retainer inventories, doubles saddlebag storage, and allows for one additional retainer to be employed.
Final Fantasy XIV‘s 4.3 update is scheduled to go live in late May.
