A new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV offers a closer look at the new content being added to the game with the release of update 4.4.

The update, otherwise known as Prelude in Violet, will introduce new main scenario quests, new sidequests, two new dungeons, a new trial against Suzaku, new crafting recipes, updates to the The Lost Canals of Uznair treasure dungeon, and more.

As well as the above, the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding is being expanded to allow couples to commemorate their relationship with new options, including anniversary ceremonies.

In other news, Square Enix recently made a premium plan available for Final Fantasy XIV‘s companion app that offers additional features to players who subscribe.

Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.

Square Enix has released a debut trailer for Final Fantasy XIV's next major update, Prelude in Violet.
