Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV‘s 4.5 update will arrive on January 8th, 2019.

Update 4.5 introduces new main scenario quests, a new set of side quests featuring Seiryu, The Ghimlyt Dark dungeon, and another part of the Return to Ivalice 24-player raid. As well as these, players are getting new mounts, minions, hairstyles, and emotes.

Also coming in this update is the debut of the Blue Mage job. The Blue Mage can learn powerful skills from enemies, but is capped at level 50 and cannot take part in group content. Square Enix plans to up the level cap of the Blue Mage and introduce new abilities to learn throughout the Shadowbringers expansion.

In addition to announcing the release date, Square Enix shared a new trailer that goes over the new content being added. Watch it below:

Square Enix recently unveiled Final Fantasy XIV‘s Shadowbringers expansion, which will introduce new areas, new quests, an increased level cap, multiple new classes, a new race, a new raid, and more.

Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV's next major update.

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV‘s 4.5 update will arrive on January 8th, 2019.
