Final Fantasy

Update 1.14 and 1.15 are now live for Final Fantasy XV, laying in the ground work for the start of the Assassin’s Festival.

For those who missed the announcement last week, the Assassin’s Festival is part of a collaboration between Square Enix and Ubisoft that will transform the town of Lestallum with new banners and activities until January 2018. As well as the festival, Noctis and his crew will get new outfits and access to new assassin abilities, such as stealth takedowns. It should be noted that the Assassin’s Festival is free DLC for the game and must be downloaded to access the content, but it is not due to go live until tomorrow, August 31st.

There’s also an added bonus for players who picked up the Dream Egg during the Moogle Chocobo Carnival in the form of a new Master Assassin’s Robes outfit for Noctis, which will be unlocked upon logging into the game after the update.

Other new features in this update include a Chapter Select option that will be unlocked after finishing the game and a Bestiary. Take a look at the full patch notes below:

Version 1.14

  • Implementation of a chapter select (available after completion of the main game)
  • Addition of a bestiary (accessible from the Archives in the Main Menu)
  • Master Assassin’s Robes for players with a Dream Egg (unlocks upon loading a save)
  • Opening of the Assassin’s Festival (until January 31, 2018)
  • Announcement of winning snapshots from third photo contest (viewable at Mother of Pearl in Galdin Quay)
  • Various bug fixes

Version 1.15

  • Various bug fixes

Final Fantasy XV is available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
