Final Resident Evil 6 Trailer Blows Up Stuff, Everyone Yells At Each Other

It’s hard to imagine, but the Resident Evil video games seem to be reaching the same point as the film franchise—the whole world is blowing up, and everyone’s got a cameo. At least, that’s what the newest trailer hints.

Just running down the list, let’s pick out a few main threads in the storyline from the short clip:

  • Somehow, everything is Leon Kennedy’s fault.
  • This far into the series, the secret of Raccoon City is still what ties everything together.
  • Jake Muller, the son of Albert Wesker, has trust issues with Chris Redfield.
  • There’s going to be a lot of exposition. Lots of it.

Speaking of which, Chris still has that super-human strength from RE5, shown when he casually caves in a large steel door with a backhand swing of his massive, massive fist.

Also, I’m betting that the whole thing caps off with Wesker still being alive, and everyone somehow having the nerve to act surprised at this. “Wesker, you bastard! I can’t believe you’re still alive! Seriously, what are the odds?”
