First Elder Scrolls Online Screenshots

The first screenshots of the just-announced Elder Scrolls Online have made their way onto the Internet.
The screens show that this isn’t the same Elder Scrolls that we know and love. Sure, all the hallmarks are here—beautiful scenery, swords, magic, and crazy monsters. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though, as the game needed to move away from crazy graphics and real-time combat in order to become an MMO.
ESO will be powered by the Hero engine—also used for Star Wars: The Old Republic—which is obvious just by looking at the screens. This is likely how developer ZeniMax will be able to produce a fully voiced MMO, just as BioWare did. A ton of details leaked online earlier today, and you can check them out here.
Is this what you were expecting for Elder Scrolls Online?
