The first episode of a Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel making-of series explores the origins of 2K Australia and Gearbox’s collaboration and why the developers aren’t simply making Borderlands 3.
“Sometimes I’m a little nervous that people will look at us and say, ‘Why isn’t it Borderlands 3?’” franchise director Matt Armstrong says in the video. “Because we wanted to tell more stories that take place in the world that’s here—and also it’s between Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2. We’re trying to give them something for everyone who still has their consoles and still wants to play more Borderlands.”
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launches across Windows PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 October 14 in North America and October 17 internationally.
