2K Sports unveiled the first significant look at NBA 2K15’s in-game gameplay today with a new trailer titled “Yakkem.”
Yakkem, as digital Shaquille O’Neal describes and spells out for pregame co-host Ernie Johnson at the tail end of the trailer, is the sound the ball makes sinking through the net during a three-point shot. It’s onomatopoeia, if you’re feeling literary about it.
The trailer (seen above), contains various in-game shots of cover athlete Kevin Durant in action, as well as, uh, a few of the game’s digital cheerleaders, too, ‘cause sure—RHCP’s “Suck My Kiss” is playing. Why not.
NBA 2K15 launches across Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 October 7—going head-to-head with EA’s own NBA Live 15.
