Rockstar has promised that the first official gameplay trailer for Grand Theft Auto V is on the way and also further dashed hopes of seeing a PC or next-gen release.
In a recent Q&A the developer revealed that the first gameplay footage of Grand Theft Auto V would be released soon: “Yes. Soon (or in September if you don’t want to see it before you play it… it’s up to you) – the first Official Gameplay Video is on its way…”
Questions were also raised about a possible PC or next-gen release, but sadly Rockstar once again shot down any hopes that players had. So if you’re holding out for either of these versions you’re in for a long wait. “The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release,” the developer said.
“We don’t have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now.”
Rockstar also confirmed that both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game would require a mandatory install. You can find all the details here.
