The first ID@Xbox titles for Xbox One will be available in the first quarter of 2014, according to ID@Xbox director Chris Charla.
“I think it will be early in the New Year, in the first three months,” Charla told Edge when asked about the arrival of the first titles. “I would say closer to the third month. In terms of how many games there will be, it’s hard to say, because they’re still in development.
“Some developers started developing for Xbox One, others already had games in development and are working on Xbox One versions. I would say they’re at all stages of development, honestly,” he added.
ID@Xbox will allow developers to self-publish their games on Xbox One without any fees. Registered users will also not be required to pay for certification or title updates.
Developers currently signed up to the program include Double Fine, Crytek, Team 17, Drinkbox, Vlambeer, Zeboyd, and WayForward. You can check out the full list of developers here.
