First look at Halo: Nightfall debuts during San Diego Comic-Con

Posted on July 24, 2014 AT 01:25pm

Microsoft today unveiled the first look at their upcoming live-action Halo digital feature, Nightfall, produced by Ridley Scott.

The trailer (seen above), shows star Mike Colter as protagonist Agent Jameson Locke, a character who Microsoft and 343 Industries revealed today will also be playable in Halo 5: Guardian. According to the video’s YouTube description, Locke is “a legendary manhunter” and Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) officer. When a biological attack against the human race is brought to the UNSC’s attention, Locke and his team are sent to a broken Halo installation to destroy the source of the bio-weapon.

Joining Colter is Christina Chong (24, Star Wars VII), who will play a member of the Colonial Guard.

Nightfall will release this fall, and will be included in the upcoming Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One, which launches November 11 in North America and November 14 in the U.K.
