Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Rainbow Six Siege that offers a look at the upcoming rework of the Hereford Base map.

As previously announced by the developer, the rework will be included in the game’s next season of content, titled Operation Grim Sky. The reworked map features a new rain weather effect, a larger play area, and new staircases to improve movement between floors. However, Ubisoft notes that the map “will still retain its ‘soul,’ making multiple nods to the old base.”

“For the Level Designers, revisiting this map was a rare treat,” a blog post about the rework adds. “Rainbow Six Siege has been running live for over two years. During this time, the level design team has matured and fine-tuned its knowledge of the game, and now has the chance to apply this knowledge to the Hereford Base map. Despite the frequent rain over Hereford Base, the Dev Team has a sunny and positive outlook on what’s to come.”

As well as the map rework, Operation Grim Sky will introduces two new Operators: an American attacker and a defender from Great Britain.

More information about Operation Grim Sky will be shared during the Six Major that takes place in Paris from August 17th-19th.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
