As evidenced by the response to leaked footage and production stills of Bane being filmed in Pittsburgh for The Dark Knight Rises earlier this week, the Batman fan base is clearly foaming at the mouth for more information about the final chapter in Christopher Nolan’s concluding chapter to his Batman trilogy.

Well, he’s decided to throw everyone a bone and has released this official still production of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman on Batman’s Tumbler Bat-cycle. Is the feline femme fatale working with the Dark Knight in this movie, or has she acquired the Bat-cycle through more nefarious means? Not much in terms of the plot can be seen from this still, but at least we see that Hathaway is donning a very modern style leather costume with goggles akin to more recent versions of Catwoman from the comics.

Some are up in arms that Hathaway didn’t dye her hair black and crop it short for the part though, but I personally feel that keeping her natural locks works as it gives her look a hint of Julie Newmar (first woman to portray Catwoman on screen in 1966’s Adam West Batman TV series). My only beef comes with that she doesn’t have her iconic cat ears.
