The first of the two operators coming in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege‘s Operation Para Bellum expansion has been revealed, and she sports tech beyond any of her competition.
Codenamed Alibi, this Defender hails from the Italian GIS and is an expert at undercover operations. As her name suggests, she specializes in infiltration and misdirection, with her unique ability making full use of this. We don’t know the name of the ability just yet, but based on the tease seen in the trailer below, Alibi boasts technology that allows her to spawn two holographic clones of herself to use as decoys. Siege seems to be getting a little fast and loose with the idea of modern technology.
The full backstory of the character can be found in Ubisoft’s official announcement post.
Alibi’s name and gadget appear to align with a leak of the expansion from late March. Assuming the rest to be accurate, the second operator should be named Maestro who has an ability called Barrage, although it isn’t entirely clear what this ability entails. Both operators will be fully revealed and demoed at the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Finals on May 19th and 20th.
The Pro League Finals will also be the place that fans get their first gameplay look at Operation Para Bellum‘s new multiplayer map, Villa. We already have an idea of the map’s layout, thanks to a fly-through trailer that dropped late last week.
