Two new character trailers for Jagex Game Studio’s upcoming browser-based massively online tactical action game Transformers Universe provide the first look at the MOTA’s gameplay.

The trailers (embedded below) introduce Autobot Meltdown, a “battle hardened combat medic,” and Decepticon Duststorm, a “ruthless and precise killing machine” who uses her sniper rifle to attack from afar.

Transformers Universe has been in development since 2011. Earlier this month, Jagex announced that its focus had shifted from an action-oriented MMO to the newly coined massively online tactical action game. According to CEO Mark Gerhard, gameplay revolves around players serving as a squad commander for either a group of Autobots or a group of Decepticons, relying on strategy to win battles.

The game is currently in beta testing. Its full release is scheduled for sometime this summer.

Another Transformers game, Rise of the Dark Spark, was announced just last week for current and next-gen consoles.
