The first teaser image for Fortnite Season 9 has been released by Epic Games.

The image features what is presumably a new skin and is accompanied by the phrase “the future is unknown.” As usual, this first image brings with it more questions than answers regarding what will happen when the season begins. However, subsequent teases should help shed a little light on what we can expect from Season 9.

Fortnite’s ninth season is scheduled to go live on May 9th and will be joined by a new Battle Pass.

In other news, Epic Games recently held its latest big event in Fortnite called the Unvaulting, which saw the destruction of Tilted Towers and Retail Row, and the return of the Drum Gun. Sadly, the event was affected by a bug that prevented some players from seeing it live. As a result, Epic is offering all players who were in the playlist at the time of the event a free glider, or a refund if they already own the glider.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
